Step One - Where will we go? What will we do?.
Well this first part should be easy, if you don't have something in mind you probably wouldn't be looking at this page. Will we go to a store an event, will we go to multiple places? Is there a special art showing/gallery? Or will we be going to a generic place like to the park or another spot for sketching and maybe a picnic? The ideas are limit less and while the council will think up/hold as many as they can its great for other members to host an outing/event!

While it is fine that there is a group project at these types of things please do not confuse them with a workshop. It will need to be something that most people can already do, just held at a special place. Having a group sketching/inspiration trips or photo shoots are such examples. Trips for group shopping, to various shops, fairs, or estate sales, are all fun choices. Outings can be inspirational, for fun, or to see whatever is out there.

When thinking of the place don't forget to consider what time and day would be best, keep in mind weekends are best for most people.

Step Two - Meeting up and Driving

Will you meet at the place you wish to attend, or will you meet up somewhere and carpool to the place? If the place is along ways away(such as traders village) then I suggest meeting up and carpooling. The same goes for if you will be hitting various spots, (such as making a day of hitting up thrift shops or estate sales.) When deciding these things keep in mind, is this place easy to find? Is it directly off a highway? Will it be dark when we go? Is the building well marked? If people get lost do you or someone you know is attending have a cell phone?

Also do people need to being anything with them? Sketchbooks pencils cameras etc? Do you need to warn them to wear good walking/hiking shoes? If its outside have you told them what type of weather is expected that day? Should people eat before? Will they be eating there?

Step Three - Contacting a council member about running it.
Although before now it would have been acceptable to ask the group or a council member if it your idea would be appropriate for the group to do, this s when you contact then that you WILL be doing it. you will need to type up something telling where you will be going, what you will be doing. when and were to meet and ant information from the previous step that people should know.

If you wish to do carpooling but don't have a large vehicle feel free to a say so and we will make sure everyone knows you are looking for a volunteer for such. It is also perfectly find if carpooling for the driver to ask for people to chip in on gas, either a set amount for each person or on a donation basis.

after you have your page typed send it to any of the council members to discuss anything else needed and so that it can be listed officially on all the sites.
